Lately.
People I have seen:
A Jedi waiting at a crosswalk on broadway with an empty shopping trolley.
A long thing straggly man leaping out of his truck with a dangling cigarette and the most amazing cascade of blonde ringlets I have ever seen.
A postal van blasting sweet calypso beats as the postman chills out against a staid colony of big red letterboxes.
An pruney, stooped old woman with a thick crust of eyeliner and diamantes.
A dude dressed as an ice-cream cone, bag slung over his shoulder, casually sipping from a chocolate milk carton as he saunters through the CBD at 8am.
A large buff guy playing an exuberant game of hide and seek with a tiny fluffy poodle puppy in the rain.
Stuff that hasn’t been so great:
Chicken-Pumpkin-Pasta monstrosity ruined by my hasty and heavy-handed addition of weird, plasticy chive and garlic cream cheese. This will not deter me from further Pasta-Mixed-With-Things-I-Like experimentations.
The feel of my macbook keyboard. It is not quite right for long and inspired typing sessions. It does not go ‘click’ in that way.
Things I have appreciated:
$3 crisp white cotton t-shirt.
Free teriyaki salmon (it lasted me two lunches).
Exactly how piney fresh a real live Christmas tree smells.
